I’ve always wondered just what the most effective way to run a business is. Up to this very day, I’m still thinking about how to make things more efficient, because as we all know, increased efficiency means increased profitability. While I can’t deny the importance of the human element, you’ve got to admit that there is less chance of human error with less human interference. I’m not saying take out people completely, but at least install some of the technology out there.
POS systems will definitely get things moving faster. Or how about a database for prices? Whether you’re in retail or wholesale, technology can probably improve how you do things. I just feel like we should take advantage of all this stuff out there. I mean, what a waste if we don’t, right? Scanning barcodes is sure a lot easier than writing every single item’s description down, right? Time is money!
