One thing I really love about traveling is staying at hotels. Somebody cleans up right after you leave, the room usually comes with free buffet breakfasts, there’s a pool, a gym, and of course, let us not forget room service!
Now I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my life. I’ve stayed in good hotels and crappy ones. Normal, run-of-the-mill hotels and unique hotels. But I rarely come across a hotel I don’t like. One is that hotel up in San Francisco, the Chancellor. I mean, sure, the location was prime, right smack in the middle of downtown, but that’s all it had going for it. The place was too dimly lit, it was depressing. Also, they made terrible, soggy scrambled eggs for breakfast. They didn’t serve normal toast, only French toast, which I absolutely cannot stand.
This all happened more than ten years ago, and I can still remember how much I hated that place. That’s how bad it was.
