I hope the Los Angeles Lakers had some disposable diapers on hand, because they really did have an accident in their pants.  They’re the most talented team in the league today, with an almost completely healthy roster.  How do you lose to a Portland Blazers team that has no Greg Oden, and with Rudy Fernandez injured?  Seriously, tell me how.  They didn’t just lose.  That was a rout right there!

Anyway, I guess it doesn’t really matter anymore.  The Lakers plowed through the competition until the NBA Finals last season, before they got their butts handed to them by the Boston Celtics.  Maybe if they lose a couple of games during the regular season and during their playoff run, it’ll toughen them up some.  Lord knows they could have used some toughness against the Celtics.

Things had better be different this year.  Partly because I hate KG.  Partly because Kobe is the best player in the league.  Partly because I swear I will freak if Starbury wins a championship.
