My mom is on a diet, and because of that, she absolutely refuses to take in any rice after dinner time. I told her to take it slow, but she won’t listen to me. As a result of skipping all carbohydrates at dinner, she ends up bingeing on midnight snacks. That’s a never a successful strategy for weight loss.
For all the ladies out there who want to lose weight, I seriously suggest lifting weights. I know there are plenty of fad diets and safe diet pills for women, but nothing beats good old exercise. You’ll feel better, you’ll lose weight, and you’ll be a lot healthier too. Take my word for it.I mean, it worked for me. Just keep lifting.

While I’ve been eating pretty healthy these past few weeks, I still feel the need to clean out my system because I ate a LOT of junk during the past year. Seriously, it’s so bad I feel like checking out colon cleanse reviews might be a good idea.
Every year though, I tell myself I’ll eat healthier. It never holds up for the entire year. This year, I’m going to try to break out of my unhealthy eating funk. Maybe I won’t be stuffing myself with leafy greens and everything, but I’m going to stop overeating. That has got to count for something, right?
Whatever. It’s a start, and I believe in starts.

I’ve always been pretty popular in school. Maybe it’s because I was a pretty good basketball player and jocks are always cool, but I never had to give away any promotional pens to get friends. I guess that’s why I don’t understand how some people can have a hard time fitting in and finding friends. It’s hard seeing what it’s like on the other side.Since I run my own business, I don’t really have any peers per se. I do have employees, and they seem to like me enough. I guess it helps that I’m funny and charming and let us not forget, modest.
I’m just kidding. What I’m trying to say is, why aren’t I on the cover of some magazine yet?! Did you catch the connection? Read again!

Lately I’ve been wondering what all the fuss was about Blackberries. I mean, it’s basically an iPhone except not as cool, right? My sister is on the Blackberry team. She doesn’t have one, but it’s enough for her that Obama has one.
I have to say I love my iPhone and I can’t imagine getting any other phone in the future. I’m just waiting for Apple to come out with a model with a better camera. I mean, the iPhone 3Gs had a 3MP camera, but that’s not nearly enough. Nokia has phones with cameras that go all the way up to 8MP. I want something like that.
So I’ll be saving my money and as soon as they come out with an iPhone that has at least a 5 MP camera, then I will seriously consider trading up. Until then, I’m sticking with my 3G.

I recently tried out Sun Belt Software’s antivirus software and I was impressed. My complaint with most antivirus software is that they really use up a lot of resources, so I’ve got a virus-free computer, but it’s still slow like you wouldn’t believe.
Sun Belt’s antivirus software doesn’t slow my PC down though, without sacrificing performance. It’s got a whole lot of power in it, so I know I’m pretty safe from viruses and spyware, which were a real problem for me before. I also like their email protection. I hate email-borne viruses.
Another good thing about it is there’s no automatic charging to your credit card. Personally, I’d rather have a virus-infected computer than be broke, so I’m really happy about this feature.

It’s pretty much common sense. You want to play basketball, you need rubber shoes. You get into a motorcycle accident, you need a pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney. I want to get a six pack, I need to diet and lift a few weights.
Right now, the Lakers need Lamar Odom to be playing like this every time if they want to win a championship. The whole NBA looks a little weak compared to the Lakers, but we aren’t even in the post-season yet. Still a long ways to go.
And what is up with Pau Gasol? I’ve never known him to be so injury prone! Maybe it’s something in the water. Kobe broke his shooting index finger. Ron Artest suffers a concussion. Pau strains BOTH hamstrings? COME ON!

Weather has been pretty crazy lately. It’s been raining sporadically, and it’s just January. I mean, the rainy season is supposed to come during June and July. All this rain is ruining the cool season. Whatever the case, I have to get new wiper blades for my car. Maybe a little tune-up. See if the emi shielding on my gaskets are still good. Nothing worse than getting stuck in the rain.
Speaking of rain, I’ve been raining jumpers in practice lately. I can’t wait to get myself out on a real court in a real game and kick some real butt!

What’s with the hold up? This is a match I really want to see. Floyd Mayweather probably has better footwork and is likely the one person who can match up to Manny Pacquiao’s speed. That being said, if Mayweather DOES get hit, though, it’s lights out for him. They say Mayweather has a strong chin, but they said the same thing about Ricky Hatton when he was faced with Pacquiao, and look how that ended.
This is probably the first time I’m not sure about Pacquiao’s chances. The guy is a powerhouse, but Mayweather’s probably the most skilled fighter he’s ever going to go up against. I’d like to see how Manny stacks up against a real champ.
I’m going to throw in my prediction, anyway. I say Pacquiao wins by split decision. Mayweather is fast, but he’s going to take a lot of punishment. A hell of a lot more punishment than Manny is going to take.

I know it’s like I only talk about weight lifting and basketball in this blog but.. it’s MY blog. Basketball and working out interest me. I mean, if you’ve stuck around so long, you probably find what I write at least a little entertaining, right?
Been working out like I’m getting paid for it, and the results have been showing. I’mlooking ripped like a fireman, except without the mesothelioma risk. Still not doing any cardiovascular training, though. I seriously can’t bring myself to get on that treadmill and run.
Eating right, though, or at least not overeating. It’s start. When February begins, it’s time to really dial it in. Maybe then I might actually consider running. Whatever it takes to make it as a fitness model! That’s the goal for this year. Get paid for taking my shirt off (not like that, you perv!).

I didn’t get that much stuff for Christmas, but I DID get an awesome weights set! That’s the best gift I could have asked for (which I did). So today, the first day of the year, I am going to get on that bench and bust out a few sets of dumbbell presses! Sure beats getting Amazon books, right?
I’ve also been getting stronger. I was struggling with the 40 lbs dumbbells around a week ago, but now I’m banging out sets of 50s like it was nothing. I am going to need to get myself more plates. Maybe so that the dumbbells can go up to 60lbs. Hopefully I’ll be adding 10 lbs every month.
That’s the price of getting ripped.
