Now THAT is how you bounce back from a bad game. Kobe Bryant just totally dominated the Utah Jazz, practically scoring at will. Just when the Jazz thought they’d made a series out of it, Kobe comes out with a game like this. I guess Carlos Boozer is just getting what he deserves for stiffing the Cleveland Cavaliers like that. Now Lebron James is on his way the NBA Finals (and make no mistake, he is) and the Utah Jazz are about to be eliminated in the first round, dominantly, Deron Williams’ brilliance notwithstanding.
I wonder how Kobe Bryant will do in Game 5. I hope he keeps up the intensity. He’s got to show these Lakers that he’s going to will them through this playoff run, and that they can win it all. We don’t want another collapse like that disaster against the Boston Celtics last year.

I know I’ve been raving and raving about how great a Nokia E71 would be, but lately, I’ve been thinking if there isn’t something else worth spending the money on. For instance, a Blackberry comes to mind. Or maybe an IPhone. Or even an Ipod Touch. And there are a lot of really portable, affordable netbooks coming out these days.
See, what I need is something that will let me work AND play. The E71 has got the built in word processor and Excel spreadsheets, plus it’s WiFi enabled, so I can do my online work there. Then again, the Blackberry is capable of all of that. So is the IPhone. The E71 is definitely the cheaper option, though I wish I could try it out. See how fast it is, or see how slow it can get.
Netbooks are pretty cool, too, except I figure I might as well bring my Mac instead. The size difference isn’t going to kill me, and this baby right here has been my old reliable.

One thing I really love about traveling is staying at hotels. Somebody cleans up right after you leave, the room usually comes with free buffet breakfasts, there’s a pool, a gym, and of course, let us not forget room service!
Now I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my life. I’ve stayed in good hotels and crappy ones. Normal, run-of-the-mill hotels and unique hotels. But I rarely come across a hotel I don’t like. One is that hotel up in San Francisco, the Chancellor. I mean, sure, the location was prime, right smack in the middle of downtown, but that’s all it had going for it. The place was too dimly lit, it was depressing. Also, they made terrible, soggy scrambled eggs for breakfast. They didn’t serve normal toast, only French toast, which I absolutely cannot stand.
This all happened more than ten years ago, and I can still remember how much I hated that place. That’s how bad it was.

I want to travel. I never used to like airplanes (although I did once dream of becoming a pilot) but now I enjoy them. They take you to all these different places, where you see so much, and learn so many new things. Oh sure, there’s always a risk that you’ll crash or something, but that’s what travel medical insurance is for. For all your unexpected medical needs, right?
Anyway, I want to see what’s out there. Africa. South America. Yeah, I’d really need insurance in THOSE countries. Maybe something a little less Harrison Ford and a little more Ben Stiller, like maybe a beach resort somewhere. Ah yeah. Well, better to experience everything.
So Caribbean one day, Cuba the next! Live the wild life!

Been eating a lot. Made it a point to have breakfast daily the past week, so I’ve been eating sausages and bacon and ham and eggs and bread every morning, and it’s starting to show. Especially around the midsection.
Had some time to work out though, and I guess those extra calories are showing up on my chest and arms. I just wish I could cut through the fat on top of all that muscle, though. I’m thinking about using some sort of fat-burner. I read some phenphedrine reviews, and the stuff looks pretty effective, but I’m not sure yet. I will have to give it some more thought before I go through with it.
Knowing me though, I probably won’t. Stuff like that scare me.

Recently, I was approached by a beggar, or as I’m sure he would want to be called, a mendicant, a wanderer of the streets. He was dressed like a gentleman. I mean, breeches would not look out of place with this guy, oh no, not at all. He had that sort of dignified look, which is hard to come by in a beggar.
Anyway, the strange thing about this guy was, he didn’t want money. I offered him money, but he simply wanted the box of Kentucky Fried Chicken I had. Sad to say, I refused. I hadn’t eaten all day, and my hunger pangs (okay, selfishness) got the best of me.
Although in my defense, he wasn’t very gentlemanly about taking his rejection. Guy gave me a scowl and walked off. The chicken wasn’t that good, either.
ANYWAY, the point is, he was a very well-dressed beggar. Mendicant. Whatever.

This Holy Week, I will stay in bed and try to get what I have not gotten these past few months. SLEEP. Lots and lots of sleep. Too much stress, too much mess, but last night I got around 10 hours. Beat that. I need a few more nights like that.
I’m also going to get me some basketball practice in. I’ll shoot hoops as much as possible. What a difference knowing you have no work the next day makes! You can do all sorts of stuff, not think, then sleep in. Got to love the holidays.
I’m also catching up on my games on the PSP. I wish I could laze about like this all the time. But then again, we don’t always get what we wish for, and even when we do, they’re never quite like we imagined. Ah well. I guess the holiday schedule is fine the way it is. A few days’ reprieve from everything. Back to work on Monday. Three more days to go.
